Paul-Alison Moyet was a 'power ballad' singer from the 80's a sort of cross between belinda carlisle (heaven is place on earth, eternal falme) and kate bush (wuthering heights, running up the hill etc)
Shmaya - How have you not heard of dire straights ?! (money for nothing, walk of life etc) they were the biggest band in the world at one stage with worldwide stadium tours for several years and their guitarist was mark knopfler who is regarded as one of the true great guitarists ever.
